She md. 7 Jun 1903 in Chattanooga, Hamilton Co, TN to Uriah Franklin Allison b. 16 May 1873 Kingston, Roane Co., TN, d. 4 Jun 1955 Rossville, Walker Co, GA. The men of Uriah's generation and his father's generation were river boat captains and pilots on the Tennessee River. Wagie Allison in the 1920 Dayton, Rhea Co, TN census with her mother, Mary Washam, age 71 TN, living with her. Wagie and Uriah are bur. White Oak Cemetery, Chattanooga, Hamilton Co, TN. Ludson Worsham II & Rebecca Cousins  (parents on page 475) Ludson Worsham II b 1 Jun 1763 Dinwiddie Co., VA s/o Ludson Worsham I & Miss Green md Rebecca Cousins 24 Dec 1788 Dinwiddie Co., VA. He wrote his will 25 Nov 1835 Dinwiddie Co., VA & d 26 Sep 1841 Dinwiddie Co., VA. Ludson md Rebecca Cousins 24 Dec 1788. Rebecca b 18 Feb 1770 Dinwiddie Co., VA d/o William Cousins & Ann Walthall. She d 17 Nov 1821 Dinwiddie Co., VA. It is interesting to note that her mother was b 10 Mar 1731 and a d/o Henry Walthall & Phebe Ligon. Therefore, Rebecca Cousins was a descendant of William & Elizabeth Worsham. Ann was named in her father, Henry Walthall's will in Chesterfield Co. (See 1.3.1A.1. Phebe Ligon & Henry Walthall on page 45)

Descendants lived in Amelia Co., VA.  Edward died in Amelia Co., on Apr 26, 1850 Edward Worsham in his 61st year. He married about a month before his death, leaving wife and dau. 2.1.2.1.4.1.4. William Worsham b 10 Jan 1796 Dinwiddie Co., VA md Lucretia Branch. He served in the War of 1812 & applied for pension in 1852. William d 6 Jun 1875 Petersburg. Descendants lived in Amelia; Prince George; Petersburg; & Dinwiddie Co., VA; Shelby Co., TN; Hunt Co., TX.  

William Worsham md Lucretia Branch 7 Sep 1820 instead of 24 Aug 1820. The 7 Sep date is in the Worsham Family Bible according to John & Virginia Linn, 1999.  Lucretia b 27 May 1804 & d 27 Jul 1882.

Cindy Hardy Luongo Cassidy, 2003, writes: "I'm the  g-g-grandaughter of Mariah Worsham.  Mariah and Dabney, as well as Mariah's sister "Aunt Dee" and her husband "Col. Allen", lived in Amelia on the farm that I grew up knowing as "the Old Hardy farm."  My father grew up on that farm and remembers Aunt Dee as well as being told about Col Allen and my father's g-grandparents, Mariah and Dabney.  I have photos of Mariah, Aunt Dee and Col Allen.  I also have an old photo album that belonged either to Mariah or Aunt Dee. The only photo's with names on them are Margaret Virginia Worsham, Lutie Worsham and Willie Worsham. We are reasonably sure that one of the other photos is Mariah as a young woman and another is Col Allen. There are an additional 9 photo's that are unidentified. Also, Aunt Dee's and Col. Allen's graves are located on the farm I mentioned above. We are planning to put up a marker to properly identify the graves. Right now there are a handful of us who know where their unmarked graves are located."  

The first and second  pictures  were taken in Richmond, VA and were printed by the same photographer on the same stock with the same decoration.  The next two pictures (3rd and 4th) of the children were taken by the same photographer, ie, G. W. Minnis, 47 Sycamore Streeet, established 1847 and the picture of the young girl has the following written below the photo: "My best love to all. Guess who I am." The fifth picture of the two young men are believed to be Worsham's.

On the back of the sixth photo,  the young woman with a Mexican style comb in the back of her hair, is "J. T. Hendrick, Shadder, Catcher, Texas."

Cindy would love to get all the people identified; anyone who has photos of Worsham's who lived in the 1800's and are connected to the ones in Amelia would be appreciated.

(Amelia Co., VA Marriages)  Dabney was the son of Vincent Hardy and Sarah Orgain. This was Dabney's 2nd mrg. According to Hunt Co, TX births, G. H. Worsham received his diploma from Edwardus King Presbyterian Jeffersonian College, diploma dated 6 Mar 1852, Philadelphia, PA. Confederate papers relating to citizens or business firms, National Archives has Dr. G. H. Worsham, $275 paid 12 Jan 1863, care of sick at Camp Johnson. George Henry Worsham, Texas, 17 Mar 1864 rec'd for Assistant Surgeon.  Dr. G. H. Worsham d 13 Jul 1907 & bur East Mount Cem., Hunt Co., TX. 2.1.2.1.4.1.4.4.2. William Jefferson Worsham b 13 Jul 1859 Hunt Co., TX. He is the James Worsham age 10 in the 1870 Hunt Co., TX Census. He md Ida F. Short b 7 Aug 1869 TX & d. 17 Jan 1958 San Bernardino, CA. In 1880 he had Rheumatic fever and lived in Grayson Co, TX and worked as a clerk in a drug store.  In 1889 he was in Dallas, TX working for Meyer Bros. Drug Co.  They are in the 1900 Dallas Co., TX Census and he was a druggist. He is age 50 & Ida is age 40 in the 1910 Dallas Co., TX Census.  Photograph identified as Willie J. In the 14 Feb 1937 issue of the Los Angeles Times appeared his obituary

"William J Worsham of Covina, beloved husband of Ida S. Worsham. Masonic services Tuesday at 1 pm in the Little Church of the Flowers Mortuary. Forest Lawn Memorial Park Association, Inc. in charge."

A. age 17 in the 1880 Hunt Co., TX Census. She md Mr. Masis & d 27 Jul 1882. The Worsham Family Bible, according to John & Virginia Linn, 1999, has Lucretia Worsham b 11 May 1861 & d 27 Jul 1882. She is the Linda Worsham age 8 in the 1870 Hunt Co, TX Cens and 17 in the 1880 Hunt Co., TX Cens. The death date may be incorrect since she is probably the Lutie Worsham b May 1861 Campbell, Hunt, TX d 24 Apr 1914, parents George Worsham & Marguerite Marshall, md Eugene Cicero DeJernett 25 Dec 1885 Greenville, Hunt, TX. (IGI) In the Hunt Co, TX, Newspaper Topic Index, Greenville Messenger, Thu, 5 Sep 1929, refers to Dr. Worsham's son-in-law Rev. DeJernett accident victim. Worsham b 25 Mar 1869 & d 16 Apr 1927.  In the 1 Aug 1913 Commerce Journal newspaper in Commerce TX, pg. 1 "Friday morning of last week about 5:30 Miss Jennie Worsham was badley injured at the home of her brother, A. M. Worsham, near Campbell. She had gone into the lot to milk when an angry muley male attacked her, butting her down and running over her. Her collar bone was broken and it is not impossible that she was injured internally.
