to Cincinnati Ohio at the insistence of my sister, Maggie and her husband
James Slaughter to come and live with them. I went to work for the National
Biscuit Company. We had a little apartment to ourselves and my mother took
in sewing. With the help of my brother Robert, we got along okay until I
married Edwin Hughes. We made a home for mother until she passed away in
1924. James Slaughter was a Cincinnati man and that is the reason they moved
north. Edwin's father passed away and we moved to Tampa, FL. Mother lived
with me 18 years before she passed away. I will be 86 years old on the 3rd
